Warranty Claims.

 

Thank you for purchasing your new home with FH Group. We hope that you are enjoying your new home aside from the issue that you are contacting us about now.

We understand that sometimes defects happen and we would love to help! The following form must be filled before the issue can be resolved.

Terms:

  1. Any warranty claims will be assessed either by the project manager or contractor who completed the job before they can be addressed. The Home Builder has the right to dispute any claim under the guide to tolerances, by law this protects the Homeowner and the Home Builder against biased views. Any claim that is made where a product failure has occurred, and the Homeowners negligence has led to more damages beyond the Home Builders control those damages will be deemed not claimable. However, if it is deemed out of the Homeowners control, the warranty stands under the 1 Year Guarantee.

  2. Should you be within your 1 year guarantee, and am emergency arises, the homeowner is encouraged to call the applicable contractor in the first instance. If they cannot be reached, or the item rectified in a timely manner, the Homeowner may contact another contactor to fix the item. The Homeowner can then submit a re-imbursement claim with Friday Homes. Note – for the claim to be processed, a report including photos must be supplied by the contractor that completed the work for Friday Homes to assess. If the maintenance item is deemed to have been an emergency, the Homeowner will be re-imbursed.

  3. If the Home is out of the 1-year Warranty, Friday Homes can assist or point the Homeowner in the right direction with maintenance and product warranty claims, however charges may apply. Our base rate is $120 per hour for work completed by the Home Builder (Extra material and administration charges may apply depending on the situation). Should a contractor be called out to a maintenance request, and the item is not deemed to be a warranty claim, the Homeowner will be liable for the contractor’s time. Any invoices received by the contractor will be passed onto the Homeowner with a 15% margin added. Please ensure you have fully read and understand your warranty before a claim is made.
