Thank you for purchasing your new home with Friday Homes. We hope you're enjoying your home and settling in well.

While every effort is made to ensure a high-quality build, we understand that defects or issues may sometimes arise. To help us resolve these efficiently, please ensure the Warranty Claim Form is completed before any work can begin.

General Terms: 

Terms:

  1. All warranty claims will be assessed by either the Project Manager or the original contractor before any repairs are approved.

  2. Friday Homes follows the industry-recognised Guide to Tolerances when assessing defects. This protects both homeowners and builders by providing a fair and consistent standard.

  3. If a product fault has occurred and homeowner negligence has contributed to additional damage, the additional damage may not be covered under warranty.

  4. If the issue is deemed outside the homeowner's control, the claim will be assessed and may proceed under the 1-Year Guarantee.

Emergency Repairs (within 1-year warranty)

If an emergency arises within your 1-year warranty period (e.g. water leaks, electrical hazards, loss of power or water), please contact the appropriate contractor listed in your handover documents.

If the contractor is unavailable or cannot attend promptly, you may engage another qualified tradesperson to carry out the repair. You may then submit a reimbursement claim to Friday Homes, including:

  • A contractor report,

  • Supporting photos, and

  • An invoice for the work completed.

If the issue is verified as an emergency and within warranty scope, the cost will be reimbursed.

Plumbing Issues

If you experience a plumbing issue—such as leaks, blocked drains, or low water pressure—please contact Plumbing Express, our official plumbing partner, using the details provided in your handover pack or on our website. They are authorised to respond to both standard and after-hours plumbing callouts.

After inspecting the issue, Plumbing Express will provide a written report indicating whether the issue is:

  • A homeowner maintenance or misuse issue (not covered),

  • A plumbing installation fault (potentially covered), or

  • A product failure (e.g. faulty valve, cistern, etc.—may be covered by supplier warranty).

If the issue is urgent and requires immediate attention (e.g. an active leak or health/safety risk), Plumbing Express will carry out the necessary work immediately. Friday Homes will then assess the report to determine who is responsible for the cost.

If the issue is non-urgent but still deemed to be a plumbing fault, Friday Homes will arrange for the original plumbing contractor to return and complete the repair. Plumbing Express will not proceed with non-urgent work unless authorised by Friday Homes.
